What does Dexolist cost an organiser?
Posting a brief, being matched and reading every quote in full is free, always — no subscription, and nothing to pay to see your prices. Booking costs £10 per supplier, and your first event is free however many suppliers you book for it. Every fifth event is free again after that. Most of what we earn comes from suppliers, who pay a success fee only when they win the work.
What’s the 8% success fee?
Suppliers pay 8% of the booking value, and only once a client confirms and pays. No fee for quoting, no fee if you don’t win the job. It falls by 12.5% at Established and 25% at Elite as you complete more bookings.
How do supplier status tiers and ranking work?
Suppliers pay less as they deliver more — 12.5% off our fee at Established (10+ bookings), 25% off at Elite (30+), alongside a strong reliability score and, at Elite, a 4.8 rating. Elite suppliers also appear first on the comparison board as Dexolist's Choice; it is earned on delivery and cannot be bought. Tiers count bookings over a rolling 12 months rather than a lifetime, and a tier above Standard is kept only by a booking or an event in the last 90 days — so a badge always means recent work. Reliability recovers over time too: the effect of an older cancellation eases after 12 months of dependable delivery.
How are suppliers verified?
Every supplier uploads photo ID and a business document before they can send a single quote, and a person reviews them — nobody is approved automatically. Suppliers who hold public liability insurance can upload their certificate too.
Who handles deposits and payment?
Payments run securely through Stripe. Dexolist never holds your money — each payment goes straight to the supplier’s own account, and our fee is taken as it passes through. Each supplier sets their own deposit and payment schedule, including when the balance falls due, shown clearly on their quote before you book. Cancel before the 48-hour cancellation window closes and the whole payment is reversed.
What if a supplier cancels or doesn’t show up?
Every supplier is checked before they can quote, and their reliability score follows them — a cancellation costs them points whatever notice they give, and three inside a year triggers an account review. If a confirmed supplier cancels or doesn't turn up, you're refunded what you're owed, they owe a cost-recovery charge that rises the later it happens, and we help you find a replacement. Suppliers who let clients down can be removed from Dexolist.
How is this different from a lead broker?
Lead brokers sell your contact details to dozens of suppliers who all cold-call you. On Dexolist, each brief goes to a small matched shortlist, and each supplier sends one quote.
Can I use Dexolist for a corporate event?
Yes. Weddings, parties and corporate events all run through the same brief and matching process.
What happens if I don’t book anyone?
Nothing. Posting a brief and receiving quotes are free whether or not you book — the booking fee applies only when you actually book someone.
